CD Cookie: Appreciating Teachers

Several years ago, I read about Happybird’s Crafting Haven using white paper CD sleeves as holders for cookies. Great teacher gifts!

We bought a big box of CD sleeves at the warehouse club. (We still have plenty of sleeves to make for teachers this year!)

One afternoon, I got out the markers. Everyone decorated. Even Lil’ Buddy, who wasn’t even two years old at the time, decorated several like the one above.

He had a great time!

We like to give teacher gifts at Thanksgiving. So one year we made the sleeves into turkeys. Then the cookie is the turkey’s big belly.

Adding a personal message is always nice.

And it’s easy to make a bunch! Just use your favorite cookie recipe.

We use our Whole Wheat Oatmeal Flax Chocolate Chip.

About Hodgepodgemom

Tricia faces a daily dose of chaos homeschooling five children. The biggest lesson she’s learned? At the end of the day – when the dishes are put away and the children are tucked in bed – truly what matters is each child’s relationship with the Lord. Raising children is a God-given privilege and, folks, the time is short.
